Kevin Layton, DDS

Dr. Kevin Layton received his DDS from Oklahoma University and began practicing dentistry in Oklahoma City in 1989. In 1995, Dr. Layton completed advanced training through the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics. Dr. Layton continues to enhance his skills through continuing education and by introducing new technologies into his practice.

At an early age, Dr. Layton knew that he wanted to be a dentist. He had a wonderful family dentist, and all of his dental experiences were pleasant growing up. Dr. Layton vowed to be a dentist that would give people a truly beautiful smile.

By really listening, he gets to know his patients as friends. With his kind and compassionate nature, he puts patients at ease, immediately instilling a sense of trust. Behind his warm personality, it is easy to see Dr. Layton’s incredible knowledge and experience. He provides honest and uncompromising solutions designed to meet each patient’s unique goals.

An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Layton enjoys, boating, golfing, flying, and going to football games. He attends Oakhill Church in Edmond. He enjoys his family, and his children are his greatest assets. Dr. Layton has a passion for dentistry and people, and he wants to keep you smiling.

Shelley Harris RDH started her career in dentistry at the age of 19. She has worked in many positions in the dental office; starting out as expanded duties dental assistant, then treatment plan coordinator, and eventually became a practice manager. Due to her continual strive for excellence; she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene, from Rose State College in 1995. 

Her peers voted Shelley “ The Ideal Dental Hygienist”, and she continues to live up to that honor. Shelley is a speaker for local dental societies; study clubs, and teaches a dental office administration classes.  In addition, she has served as the president of the Oklahoma County Dental Hygienist Association, and is a current member of the Oklahoma County Dental Hygienist Association, and the American Dental Hygienist Association.

Shelley has been working with Dr. Layton for over twelve years. Shelley’s experience has made her a valuable sounding board for Dr. Layton as his practice has continuously evolved. In her time with Dr. Layton, Shelley has immersed herself in continuing education, and techniques to improve her abilities as a dental hygienist. She stays at the front of advancements in dental hygiene to provide the best dental care available.

Patients love her, staff love her, she loves life, but most of all she loves being a dental hygienist. She has established long lasting relationships with her patients, and truly gets to know each patient personally. Children love her, and often are not ready for their appointment to end. She has watched many children grow up in the practice, and her kindness keeps them coming back as adults. She is truly dedicated to the practice of Dental Hygiene, and that is apparent in the dedication she shows with each patient.

Shelley resides in Choctaw with her daughter Gabrielle. She is an active member of the Church of Christ. Away from the practice, she enjoys boating, diving, traveling, gardening, and time with Gabrielle.
